| Name | Kind | Description |
| uid | attribute | OID identifier of this archetype. |
| uid | attribute | Unique identifier for this contribution. |
| UID | class | Abstract parent of classes representing unique identifiers which identify informa- tion entities in a durable way. UIDs only ever identify one IE in time or space and are never re-used. |
| UID | artifact | |
| uid | operation | Computed version of inheritance precursor, derived as item.uid. |
| uid | attribute | Optional globally unique object identifier for root points of archetyped structures. |
| uid | attribute | Stored version of inheritance precursor. |
| uid | operation | Unique identifier of this version, containing owner_id, version_tree_id and creating_system_id. |
| uid | attribute | Unique identifier of this version container. This id will be the same in all instances of the same container in a distributed environment, meaning that it can be understood as the uid of the virtual version tree . |
| UID_BASED_ID | class | Abstract model of UID-based identifiers consisting of a root part and an optional extension; lexical form: root ::' extension |
| UID_BASED_ID | artifact | |
| units | attribute | Constraint on units of the DV_QUANTITY. |
| units | attribute | |
| units_equivalent | operation | True if two units strings correspond to the same measured property. |
| upper | relation | |
| upper | attribute | Upper bound. |
| upper_included | attribute | upper boundary value included in range if not upper_unbounded. |
| upper_unbounded | attribute | upper boundary open (i.e. = +infinity) |
| uri | package | The data_types.uri package includes two types used for referring to information resources. The DV_URI type allows data values which are references to objects on the world wide web to be created. Its specialisation, DV_EHR_URI, enables any element in an openEHR record to be identified in the same way as other objects on the web. The DV_EHR_URI type is convenient, because it is a string, like any other URI, and is therefore easily transportable and processable. Because it has its own scheme space, ehr , instances can be globally unique, as long as EHR identification is globally unique. DV_EHR_URIs are used to express all runtime paths in the EHR. |
| uri | attribute | URI reference to electronic information stored outside the record as a file, database entry etc, if supplied as a reference. |
| uri_class_diag | class diagram | |
| uri_cv | class view | |
| uri_dv | deployment view | |
| use | attribute | Description of the uses of the resource, i.e. contexts in which it could be used. |
| UUID | class | Model of the DCE Universal Unique Identifier or UUID which takes the form of hexadecimal integers separated by hyphens, following the pattern 8-4-4-4-12 as defined by the Open Group, CDE 1.1 Remote Procedure Call specification, Appendix A. Also known as a GUID. |
